Vermont native, Ryan Mangan (Tenor), is a multi-medium performing arts professional with experience in acting, opera, recital work, film, magic, and playwriting. With performance credits throughout the North East, he works primarily as a vocalist having sung with Opera Theatre of Weston, Barn Opera, Manchester Music Festival, New England Opera Intensive, VOX New England, Opera Connecticut, and Hartt Opera Theatre.

 

His dedication for artistry in song repertoire earned him the highest honors of the Vocal Scholarship Performance at the Vermont All-State Music Festival, the Dean's Award in the 2nd Annual Hartt Vocal Competition, and First Place in the VOX New England Classical Idol Competition: Undergraduate Division. He makes frequent recital collaborations with pianist and composer Alastair Stout having recently performed Beethoven's An die ferne Geliebte and Vaughan-Williams' Songs of Travel. He was recently seen as Spoletta in Puccini's Tosca and as Gastone in Verdi's La Traviata. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music from The Hartt School at University of Hartford.

 

Of his seventeen years of performance experience, most notable are his original works that include mind-reading shows HypnoTricks and Inside Your Mind. His full-length play Second Sight received much praise after it's 2016 and 2021 productions.
